Agent Announcement

Welcome Agents.

Today we bring you an announcement regarding the Pandora blog stories that we will be covering in the next few posts. Essentially, while all of our posts are involved in the Pandora universe in some form, be it past, present or future, the upcoming posts refer to other sides of events that occur within Book One of the Pandora comic itself. Last post, for example, included a missing scene from the story itself. Similarly, the upcoming posts will also have missing scenes from the comic.

If our blog interests you and you want to know the full story, then get in touch with us, either on our twitter (@Tanra626), email (tanrastudios@yahoo.co.uk) or respond to the blog itself and we’ll make sure to send you your own copy of Pandora Book One. The book costs £8/USD$13, minus Postage and Packing, which may differ depending on current shipping prices.

But until you get the book, or just need a little context to any of the blogs upcoming, then here is a helpful summary to tide you over - don’t worry, there will be very few spoilers here. But if you’re worried about any spoilers at all anyway, at least until you’ve read the books, here’s a quick warning - summary ahead!

The Story Thus Far:

Transferred due to her destructive tendencies, former Assassin Rodessa Hunter finds herself looking at an entirely different underworld than merely that of criminal syndicates. Despite her skepticism - after all, the supernatural is merely fiction, right? - Rodessa hardly has a choice in this assignment, especially since she is also about to be saddled with a new partner, a ‘Demon Hunter’ named Mizuki Masuyo. However, when the world of the mystic crashes her entire world view, she discovers that Pandora, the organization she works for, has a true purpose beyond what she once knew - to be the balance between man and the mystic.

And Rodessa is now right in the middle of it, whether she wants to be or not.

Reluctantly partnered with Mizuki for her first case, the two join forces, using Rodessa’s skills and Mizuki’s mystic arts to solve their first case - a string of murders and suicides with a supernatural origin, however, it seems that there is more to the case than meets the eye and their first job isn’t quite finished yet.

For anyone who is interested in Pandora, we only have a limited stock of Book one. This is due to the fact that our next release will be the full Volume One of Pandora. Be sure to keep an eye on our twitter or our blog for any upcoming news about the completed volume. In the meantime, we hope that you will continue to enjoy our blog posts, and the first chapter of Pandora.

Until next time, Agents.

From Today, You're an Agent Pt 1

*Far from the base, a jet marked with the Pandora logo began to settle on the private runway, the roar of the engine finally beginning to slow to a dull hum as the jet came to a full stop. It took a few moments, but a portable stairway was brought up to the side of the jet to allow the occupants to the ground once again. With stairs in place, the doors opened, and two people began to make their way down, one stern faced, the other gripped by exasperated annoyance*

Little Flower: UUUUGH! Understood! I get it! Will you leave me alone, Violet!

Madam Povell: It is because it is you that one must repeat oneself!  Are you Sure you understand exactly what it is I am asking of you?

Little Flower: I got it. Can I at least get a drink by MYSELF without you hovering over me!!!!

*Despite the grumbling of the young woman, the two made their way into the airport to collect their cases to travel to Izumo. With the long travel and the Little Flower’s complaints, however, Violet gives into her demand for a drink, feeling that, with her in a better moon, she might be more receptive to the instructions that she would be given. With bags in hand, the two head into a small store called ‘Boba Boba Life’, which not only sold various snacks, but also bubble tea, which at least helped perk Little Flower up slightly. As they drank their respective beverages, Little Flower was curiously glancing outside, interest glistening in her eyes*

Little Flower: So, this is Japan...Sweet! Wanna go to Shibuya?

Madam Povell: Forget it. We have an appointment to keep.

Little Flower: Who you saddlin’ me with again?

Madam Povell: Mizuki Masuyo, a Demon Slayer.

*Little Flower curls her lip and clicks her tongue in irritation*

Little Flower: Demons an’ Ghouls are products of folklore

*Taking a breath not to lose her temper, Madam Povell merely smiles cooly*

Madam Povell: You may want to rethink that notion, my dear

Little flower:  Whatever, kid…. By the way, who was that guy on the plane? He didn't look like he was coming with us, and he left us right after check in.

Madam Povell: Ah, an old acquaintance. A business partner, if you will. Nothing to worry about. One day you may be officially introduced. It depends on your performance in the coming months.

Little Flower: You make it sound like I'm destined to fail with that tone. *Mutter* I can't believe that I’m being assigned a naggy kid to ‘babysit me’. I’m the leader of the XXXXX gang and I’m being reduced to this… This is, so far, beyond exasperating. I can't even get mad… Well, at least my boys aren't here. Heavens knows what they would say.

*Takes a sip of her drink*

Little Flower: Oi, Violet! Look after the bags for me. I’m stepping out to make a phone call. Call me when we’re leaving. Bye!

*With those parting words the Little flower hastily escapes the watchful eyes her guardian. Madam Povell clicks her tongue, closing her eyes in irritation. Still, she knew better than to follow. Even so, she had ways of keeping an eye on her unruly subordinate, should she stray. She, however, had a distinct feeling she knew who Little Flower was going to be calling*

*Little ways off from the the cafe, the Little Flower had found a seemingly quiet place to rest for the moment pulling out her phone and dialing a number, it took a few tries but the line finally connected. She grew a little impatient as the caller didn't pick up straight away. The phone dialed again and finally the caller picked up.*

Voice: Welly welly well well, I guess this means you’ve landed, huh?

Little Flower: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PICK UP YOUR DAMN PHONE!!!! Who are you with that’s taking up your time. *slight growl*

Voice: Hey, why do you automatically think I’m with anyone? Unless you count a target. Or two. Or five. Or a dozen….few dozen. It takes me at least a couple minutes so I don’t get blood all over the communicator. You know how much I hate having to pick out dried blood.

Little Flower: HUMP! I ‘automatically think you’re with someone’ because 99.9% of the time, every time I turn my back, you’re ALWAYS surrounded by girls and 80% of the time you’re flirting with them…. And yet to hav~ A-Anyway, I still didn't get any pictures. You promised me pics. A-and I’m still waiting on them. *Quiet voice* that's why I called. Not to check up on you or anything…..

Voice:....Wow…..your maths is…..really really off. But that’s besides the point. I honestly was on a job. Ugh….it stinks of blood….Anyway, Picture wise, it’s mainly because I’ve been on this job pretty constantly. Large busts take time, especially if you want to get all the rats before they can scurry away. But I have them ready to send off as soon as I’ve cleared up. Still, glad that you got to your destination safely. What do you think of Japan for your first…..few minutes?

Little Flower: Seriously Huxian. If you need help with your syndicate and stuff, I CAN help you… Why won't you rely on me more…? We’re partners, dummy, or is it that I'm just useless to you? *Quiet voice*

Huxian:....No….no way. There’s no way you’d be useless to me, Ro. I…..uh….We just had bad timing in mission briefings. You know I’d have taken you with me if you weren’t already contracted to Japan, you know I would have. And promise, I’ll tell you all about it once you’re done over there. Though if you need any advice or just want to rant about anything, give me a call. I might not answer right away, but I’ll help as soon as I’m not slicing someone open. I’m expecting some good stories from your end, too!

Ro’: You know all that. Seems like you been avoiding me a little… You went MIA on me for three straight years, remember?! But fine, what...whatever. I don't care anymore…. *Teary Voice* Do whatever you want. I gotta go….

Huxian: *Frustrated* That isn’t it, Ro! I told you, I’ve had a string of assignments and I’m not someone who goes back on my word. This mission I’m on now is done soon. I’ll find you and I promise you can hit me over the head and I’ll tell you everything. I’ve….been wanting to tell you for a while, but phone calls…..won’t do it justice. Especially since you may want to have a target to hit. I’ve…..probably not been as cautious as I could have been. I’m pretty useless without you at my back, you know?

Ro’: *Sniff sniff* …. Really?

Huxian: Really.

Ro’: Y-you... YOU BETTER NOT LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO THAT PRETTY BOY FACE OF YOURS OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY, GOT ME!

Huxian: Aye aye, boss! Gotta keep this pretty boy face just for you, right?

Ro’: Huh… huh! N-no, that's not what I was thinking or anything weird like that! D-dont make it awkward dummy! Ah eeeey… *Faint blush*

Huxian: Ah, but when you say such words of inspiration, how can I not give it my all for you, my dear flower? I assure you, I’d move the earth at your demand if you asked for it.

Ro’: *Blushes harder* A-and there's goes your silver tongue. I wonder how many you’ve seduced with those words of yours? Geez, just come home safe to me, dummy!

Huxian: Those people? Hah, why would I waste words on people like them? You’re my partner, not any of those gaggles of geese.

*Feeling slightly shy at his words, the Little Flower holds herself while sinking into a chair, feeling somewhat better. A small smile appears on her face.*

Ro’: *Chuckle* Hmmm, now I’m hungry for waterfowl. What are you going to do about that, fluffy?

Huxian: Hm….If you can wait til we meet up, I know a few places to die for if you want waterfowl. Until then, I could send you a few recommendations. You’re heading to Izumo, right?

Ro’: … Yeah… I don't need another partner. I only need you! I don't want to go, not in the slightest! No matter what, I won't accept her!!! ‘N’ its not like any of this mystic crap is real anyway. So why bother?

Huxian: Hey, don’t think of it as a replacement. We’re partners til death, you know that. Think of it more as….a placeholder. I’d rather have someone watch your back where I can’t, even if it’s just for a little while. And who knows, maybe the two of you can give little miss violet a earache or two for the pleasure. As for the supernatural….well, whether it’s real or not, a target’s a target, right? I’m pretty sure that you’d still win with your crack shot skills even if it was an undead. Hey, you could think of it as practice for if we decide to play Zombie Hunters in the arcade. But either way, even if this person’s not partner material, we’ve worked with other people acting as our sidekicks before. If this person helps bring you back to me safe and sound as well, I’ll be happy with just that.

Ro’: Hmph! If I play nice, I want a reward. You're taking me out shopping and we’re sleeping in the same bed together. you can do that, right? It's not much I’m asking for, right?

Huxian: Your wish is my command, mistress.

Ro’: Good boy. Also, a thought just came into my head: how about a photoshoot of a certain fluffy in a traditional garment, splattered in blood and wielding a sword. I bet the fan girls would pay a decent price for that, no? At the very least I would. *Teasing tone*

Huxian: *Makes a cat ‘Meow’ sound* You want me to get down and dirty all for you, do you? I’m game. Did you want me to do a strip tease just for you afterwards, too? After all, blood just gets eeeeeeeverywhere.

Ro’: You know, I could have done without the last part, but yeah… I don't mind. After all, once were reunited, as penalty, you’re not allowed to wear a shirt for a few hours *Grin*

Huxian: Ooooh, you live dangerously. How many people do you think we could make faint, do you think?

Ro’: With your fan base… I’m thinking half or so of the population, my love, at the very least hahaha.

Huxian: Mass murder through extreme nosebleeds. Certainly a new one for us, huh?

Ro’: *Giggle* At the very least it’ll be fun. Oh! Eeeeeehhhh.

*A beeping sound comes from the girl’s phone. With a message from her guardian*

Madam Povell: If you are quite finished with your phone call, our transportation arrived. Get here, if you please.

Ro’: GOD, I fucking hate this kid! She’s so damn naggy!!!! I can't even have a proper phone call with out her interfering!!! Huie, save me!!! *Puppy whimpering noise*

Huxian: I would if I could, darling, but I’m afraid that it’s beyond my power to do so. In the wise words of a character that is likely my soul animal, time to shut up and walk, dear. But if it makes you feel better, I’ll give you many gifts when we meet up. See you there?

Ro’: *Dejected* See you there…. *Sigh* I’ll text you when we arrive at base. You better answer… ‘K?

Huxian: Always.

Ro’: Love ya. Bye!

*Looking down at her phone once more, she ends the call, face slightly flushed as the realisation of she what she had just said.*

Ro’ [Inner Thought]: Shit! Stupid! Why did you say that? No, wait, wait, he’ll just think of it as platonic love... yeah… Yeah! That's all, ha...hahaha...ha...ha… I’m an idiot. *Sigh*

*With those skittish thoughts in mind, Ro hurries back to Madam Povell, hoping that she wouldn’t die of embarrassment before then, or would at least look her normal self. Last thing she needed was to be a blushing idiot in front of that brat.

Refusing to tell the girl anything about the call, the two of them climb into the taxi and speed off, away from the airport and on their way to Izumo. The journey in and of itself was fairly unremarkable until they got to the village where, high above, the temple where Ro’s ‘would be partner’ was apparently located overlooked the general hustle and bustle of the towns folk. That, however, was when all the ‘normal’ things came to an end. After all, it’s hard to stay unaffected when one sees a giant skeleton monster attacking, especially not when seeing a group fighting it. One person catches her eye - a girl, a little younger than Ro herself, slaying such a monster in a way that Ro would never, could never, have seen before. It was all too strange. Was she dreaming?

Ro wasn’t given the chance to pinch herself to find out, instead dragged away by Madam Povell while the monks swarmed around the disintegrating creature to clear up the mess.

Stunned to silence, it is only once they had reached the hotel and were drinking tea, with no explanation forthcoming, that Ro not only snapped from her shock, but also snapped her patience. Madam Povell was far, far too calm about all this!*

Ro’: *Tsk* Oi, tell me what's goin on. NOW.

Madam Povell: It seems you are finally ready to hear me out. Very well. I shall tell you. Pandora….the organization formed over two centuries ago by the Povell family. Our purpose is to be the balance between man and the mystic. Recently, there’s been a number of….disturbances...which require our services.

Ro’: Like I said-

Madam Povell: Then please explain what it is you saw back there. My dear, there is more to this world than you have yet seen. And that is the objective of the organisation’s existence.

Journey Home: Road to Redemption Pt 9

*Away from the prying eyes and ears of the entrance hall, the trio had returned to the dormitories, where they could not only deal with their physical needs, such as sating their hunger after a long day’s work, but they would also be able to speak about the curious incident with Madam Pouvell without the possibility of being overheard by just anyone - at least, not without warning.

Knowing that, even if he wanted to press for information, Dae-Hyun wouldn’t tell them until he was fully prepared, Lorenzo set about making them tea while they waited for their meal, before lounging on one of the table seats, waiting for the agent to begin with his explanations. Although he had made sure to send a faint pulse of electricity through the room, just in case there was any spy equipment trained on them. Not enough to cause problems beyond a static shock for the occupants, but it would at least short out only bugs.

Sensing nothing, Lorenzo turned back to the others*

Lorenzo: *Shrugs* We’re free to talk, if you want.

Dae-Hyun: *Sigh* It's not as if I know much myself, beyond what you all already know and being more than confident that who we just witnessed was, indeed, not our lady. But saying that… One would need physical evidence of that sort of thing. That being the case, then I can press the issue to the group I was referring to earlier - again, the group is anonymous… That boy might now how to contact him, though, once I have definitive proof. Then I… no, we can proceed forward.

Lorenzo: I know I made that warning before, but I hadn’t thought the possibility would be quite so soon….Still, you’re right. My warnings and something slightly out of character doesn’t constitute as ‘proof’. Still, do you have a plan for that? Unfortunately, I can hardly help much, considering my temporary ‘Level’ here, but I suppose I can help out somehow if there’s some use for me in that regard beyond giving my testimony on my suspicions from Phoenix.

Dae-Hyun: It’s a start, but it’s not enough. A verbal account could be seen as superficial without physical evidence backing it. If we just had something - anything - to prove the real Madam’s location...

Esta: What about the Communicators? Don’t the newest models have tracking devices?

Dae-Hyun: Our models do, but not our Lady’s. She left before they were issued, remember?

Esta: Damn, that was the only thing I could think of… Wait, what if we called her and-

Dae-Hyun: Call our Lady? You’re kidding right?

Esta: What so wrong with that? If one of us called her and she doesn't answer, then we’ll surely catch her out and even if we don't get the impostor, then her communicator should bounce of any local cell towers, right?

Dae-Hyun: Cute plan, but did you forget these are company issued communicators? They don’t use cell towers. But you kind of have the right idea. If we can catch her out, then we might have some solid ground. Or at least a foundation to build our case.

Esta: I'm assuming we all know the implications here, the fact that we're even looking into this may hurt our credibility as agents. If we don't have a air tight case against this imposer, then, well, I don't think I need to say what will happen to us. Just getting the evidence on this case…. We could be throwing our lives away just on a hunch. Are you both ready for that?

Lorenzo: *Cocked eyebrow* You do realise I essentially already threw away my career, right? Not to mention that I have a habit of not dying when I should do. Tell you what, how about I do the calling? That way, if it does all come back on us, it’s easy to pin the blame on me, either as being that paranoid insane bastard that we’ve somewhat established, or just that I’m still a traitor. If nothing else, it would keep the heat off you guys, and it’s not like I was planning to stay here permanently anyway.

*He sits back, rubbing his chin thoughtfully*

Lorenzo: When I say ‘calling’ here as well, I don’t even necessarily mean tracking her signal down either. True it won’t give us concrete evidence. However, if the real one wasn’t the one we have here….well, then she would be able to confirm she is not in the building. And from there, we can at least begin some form of strategy to get the evidence of an imposer.

*A fourth presence could be felt in the room for a moment just as Lorenzo spoke. The blood drained from his face shortly after as two familiar hands seemed to wrap around his waist and an oh so familiar stubbled man rubbed his face against Lorenzo*

Zeus: What ‘cha talkin ‘bout, my cute 'Renze?

*Snarling, Lorenzo yanked himself away from the god, practically bristling as his chair clattered to the floor*

Lorenzo: About how I’m going to stick this teaspoon right through your eye if you keep touching me like that, old man!

*blinking for a few seconds, Zeus continued to snuggled agent Lorenzo*

Zeus: Nawww, you're even cuter when you're angry, you know that? Your nose still scrunches up like it did when you were still a small thing in my arms... well, you're still small, but after all this time, you're still as cute as ever. *Kisses top of Lorenzo's head*

*With a satisfied sigh, Zeus sits down on a chair next to Lorenzo, petting his hair all the while. Lorenzo, however, yanked his head away and snatched up the spoon, a slightly wild look in his eyes as the urge to go through with his treat practically burned through him. As it was, he managed to reign it in enough to smack the man over the knuckles instead*

Lorenzo: *Through gritted teeth* Don’t….touch….me...Or are you that braindead you already forgot about that.

*Snatching up his chair, he righted it once more with a flick of his wrist and sat down, though he kept the chair as far from the god as he could get without physically rounding the table, knowing Zeus would just see it as some dumb game instead. He did, however, keep the tablespoon in his hand, staring at it considerately, wondering if he should start to sharpen it in a threatening manner, or if keeping it blunt and attempting to gouge bits out of the man would cause him more pain that way.*

Zeus: I’m assuming the evidence you want is this, right? *Pulls out a photo of Madam Pouvell arriving at and Airport on his phone*

Lorenzo: If you already knew, why even bother with the inane question. Fucking bastard….

Zeus: *Wink* Its called ‘trying to blend into company’, my darling boy.

Lorenzo: You can blend into the floor under my shoe for all I care. If you’re done being an idiot, then…. He glanced at the photograph* So, we know that It’s either Madam Pouvell there or the impostor. We can probably assume it’s Pouvell, but….well, you know what they say about assuming things.

Zeus: That it makes an Ass out of YOU and me… That would be the case if I were not with her though the whole flight and only left after she was heading to the location point. Besides, it’s not hard to tell a HERO from other beings... well, if you're a god, that is.  *Dark eyes and smirk* Besides, who said I’m going to just give you this golden goose? I thought I taught you better than that, Lorenzie: nothing in life comes free. So, what exactly are you going to give me in order to get this golden goose? Hmmm~?

Lorenzo: I’d want to give you a few sharp metal objects through your skull. But you have something in mind, I’m sure. Talk. What do you want? And if it’s me being a ‘good son’ then you can fuck off.

Zeus: Oh my, my! What a vulgar tongue you have, sweet boy. Papa's gonna have to teach you some manners.

*Esta’s eyes began to sparkle, looking over the exchange*

Zeus: *Dark Chuckle* Oh, what I want is simple. As a matter of fact, it's rather easy.

Lorenzo: Just. Talk. What do you want already?

Zuse: *Resting hands on arm on the table and another arm open wide* I want you to sit on my lap, snuggle up to me and give me a big ol’ kiss on the cheek, all while saying ‘Papa, I LOVE YOU’, like you you used to when you were little. That's all I want *blows kiss*

*Lorenzo is silent for a long moment, however, there was definitely a dark aura that had sprung up around him, even if his eyes were currently hidden by hair. Finally, the spoon ended up flying straight at the god’s face instead. True, said god could dodge it easily, but the slightly crazed grin on the demi-god’s lips was hardly reassuring*

Lorenzo: No way in fucking hell, you pedophilic, insestual excuse for a zap bug!

*That said, he stormed towards the doors, not prepared to spend even a second longer in Zeus’ presence. Chasing after him, Dae-Hyun grabbed his shoulders*

Dae-Hyun: Dude, listen, just do it. Our golden goose is within reach! Just grit your teeth and do it, it's for the sake of the world man.

Zuse: *Sing song tone* Oh Lorenzey!~ I'm waiting! You know how impulsive I can be. What if I decide to delete it 'coz you won't grant me this simple request? What will you do then?

Dae-Hyun: NO! Don't do anything rash, sir, he c-coming! *Whisper* Dude, take one for the team here! I’m begging you!

Lorenzo: *Shaking his head, eyes filled with both a hint of madness, but a deep despair* I can’t. I can’t….I won’t, I...I can’t….*His hands moved to his face, limbs trembling.* Y-you can’t make me….C…..don’t….I….I don’t want to, C. Don’t….

Dae-Hyun: *Whisper* I’m sorry, man, there's no other way around this one. I’ll personally adhere to one of your requests after this, so please, man though it  *Puts both hands on Lorenzo’s shoulders* I believe in you.

*Lorenzo’s laugh had a slight hysterical edge to it*

Lorenzo: You shouldn’t. You really shouldn’t.

*Dropping his head into his hands, he breathed for a moment, before finally nodding. Slowly he made his way to the god’s side, even if his eyes seemed fairly dead and sat on the god’s knee, before giving him a kiss on the cheek*

Lorenzo: I love you…...dad……

Lorenzo [Inner thoughts]: I’d love to murder you and cut off your balls for this, asshole!

Zuse: *Grinning slightly and faking an exasperated sigh* You were supposed to snuggle up to me and call me ‘PAPA’, buuuut I guess it’s a start.

*Holding Lorenzo close for a moment, the god unlocks the his communicator, a slideshow of images documenting Lorenzo’s growth into manhood seemed to be his desktop image. Noticing this, Lorenzo blushed faintly, both in embarrassment and anger, before looking in another direction. He heard the god snap his fingers and all three of the Agents’ communicators pinged at once.*

Zuse: There, all done. *Kissed Lorenzo's hair* Now you can go if you want to or stay… it’s up to you… I’ve had my rations of you… And I won't ask for more, for now at least. *Sad smile*

*As if burned, Lorenzo was out and away from the god’s arms as far as he could physically get himself, pressing his back against the wall, face hidden by his hair once again*

Lorenzo: Good. Get out. Now.

*The god lingered for a moment before looking up at Lorenzo. His eyes seemed to harbor a great sadness, but he seemed to smile and spoke in an upbeat tone. As if trying to hide bad news from a child, the tone, though cheerful, had a note of melancholy to it.*

Zeus: Alright, little bolt, I’m off. It was truly enjoyable spending time with you once more. I even have a new video to add to my WONDERFUL~ collection! *Plays the part were Lorenzo says he loves his father. Before dematerializing in a flask of light*

Zeus [inner thought]: I just wish... that I would be graced with sincere words of love before I perish. I wonder, in my next incarnation, will you be able to love me again?  Or will you deny me once more?

Precious:  You’ll never give up, will you, old man?

Zeus: Never. Not until my last breath… and thereafter.

*Meanwhile, back in the room, Lorenzo had thrown the closest object he could get his hands on - a plate - at the place the god had previously been in, causing the porcelain to explode where it smashed against the now empty chair. His entire body was shaking with suppressed emotion as he slid down the wall, hugging himself and refusing to look at anyone else in the room. He felt a little betrayed that he had been forced to go through with Zeus’ request, though there was that confusing part of a young, lost child that both longed for and was repulsed by his own father’s embrace. Even so, he couldn’t bring himself to acknowledge the others in the room for now, the tiny lucid part of him knowing if he did, he would do or say many things he would regret*

Dae-Hyun: Thanks man… I know it must have been tough, but… thanks….

*Both Esta and Dae-Hyun decide to drop the matter and calm down for the moment. Dae-Hyun began to work on piling the evidence to support their case, while Esta would join him at a later time - she was concerned over the broken China. Cautiously she reached out for the broken piece. As soon as she did, however, a small fragment seemed to slice her skin. Recoiling at the sharp sting in her finger, she pulled back her hand.*

Esta: Well, that was stupid. *Sigh* I guess there's no helping it. I wonder, should I just bin it or try fixing it? It would be hard, but I should at least try. Shame really, but I’ll do my best. It will never be the same, but….It's better that leaving it in shards like this. God, it's gonna take me forever…. *Sigh.*

*She gathered the shards quickly, before placing them in a box, then setting them on one of the shelf. Making haste, she returned to Dae-Hyun’s side to aid with the research plan, leaving behind Lorenzo, who seemed to have overheard her ramblings. Though the words  were not directed at him, it seemed to have some sort of effect on him, alongside the necklace rhythmic light that helped to calm him down considerably.

Taking a few deep breaths, Lorenzo finally managed to stop the trembling of his limbs, resting his head back against the wall as he looked down at his hands now resting over his knees. While he knew Esta had been talking about the plate, he knew, in a way, those same words could be about his relationship with Zeus as well. He couldn’t help but scowl halfheartedly. Of course, every conversation lately seemed to be one he could link to his father, but at the same time, he had literally been back days. That was hardly long enough for him to work through his many issues and just get back to how things were - or rather, how Zeus wanted them to be. Being hugged and touched like he was the boy he once had been still felt as though he was touching acid. He likely could, eventually, learn to get along with him, but he just couldn’t go as fast as everyone else wanted him to. That was the main problem, why it affected him so much. He simply couldn’t give Zeus what he wanted. Zeus was impulsive, impatient. And, true, Lorenzo knew the god didn’t have long before his rebirth, but Lorenzo couldn’t force this, either

Sighing, he smacked the back of his head against the wall once again and stood up tiredly, not wanting to look at the others. True, they were looking into the impostor situation, but Lorenzo wasn’t even sure he could work with them and talk to them without snapping, even if he knew it was for a good cause that Dae-Hyun asked for his cooperation. He was sure, however, that the agent would have sense enough not to draw Lorenzo’s ire, however. At least he hoped so. He would rather not lash out because of his own issues.

For now, even if he wanted to just curl up and deny any interactions with other living people for a while, the impostor situation was a little more important. As such, he moved back to the table and instead began to study the picture, looking for the little differences between the real Pouvell and the impostor*

*Looking through the reflection of his computer screen, Dae-Hyun had been paying closes to the situation deciding it was for the best he decides to distance Lorenzo from any further activity for the moment.*

Dae-Hyun: Lorenzo….enough...take the rest of the week off. Don't think about anything else apart from the students. That's the only task I'm giving you. So DO NOT touch this case until I give you permission. Understood?

*Far from the base, a jet marked with the Pandora logo began to settle on the private runway, the roar of the engine finally beginning to slow to a dull hum as the jet came to a full stop. It took a few moments, but a portable stairway was brought up to the side of the jet to allow the occupants to the ground once again. With stairs in place, the doors opened, and two people began to make their way down, one stern faced, the other gripped by exasperated annoyance*

Little Flower: UUUUGH! Understood! I get it! Will you leave me alone, Violet!

Violet: It is because it is you that one must repeat oneself!  Are you Sure you understand exactly what it is I am asking of you?

Little Flower: I got it. Can I at least get a drink by MYSELF without you hovering over me!!!!

Journey Home: Road to Redemption pt 8

*The school day had finally come to an end - thankfully without blowing up the building or otherwise traumatizing the staff thanks to the rebellious class - and, tired but satisfied, Lorenzo, Dae-Hyun and Esta once more clambered into the car and settled themselves into easy banter in the back while Stuart drove them back towards Headquarters once again. The drive itself was fairly uneventful, mostly just the Jurogumo and Lightning demigod teasing the ‘Rabid Lion’, or Agent C trying to poke Lorenzo into admitting his growing interest in teaching in class. The easy banter continued until they reached the entrance hall. However, as they stepped inside, it was as if they had somehow stepped into a tomb.

Usually filled with agents talking or the CUC bickering about what mess the Scientists had made this time, there was instead a strange silence. The few people in the hall moved uneasily, quickly, hoping to get to where they wanted to be without lingering for too long, an odd tension to hunched shoulders and lips pressed tightly together in an effort not to make a sound. Their eyes flickered to the only other people in the hall, scared to draw attention their way. After all, none wished to draw the ire of Madam Pouvell when it was obvious that she was already in a foul mood.

The lady in question almost seemed to emit an aura of icey impatience, eyes sparking with cold irritation towards the man attending to her. Her voice, while pleasant, dripped of frozen poison that betrayed her true mood.*

Madam Pouvell: I suppose you intend to keep me waiting until I am old and haggered? Perhaps your insignificant mind finds difficulty registering my request, or is it merely that you happen to enjoy trying my patience?

Pandora Agent: Oh noo~ Madam! It just took a while to get the book out from the restricted vaults*Clutching the book to his chest* As one of the companies treasures... well, I know you know this, but it must be left under surveillance at all-

*Cutting off the man’s words, Madam Pouvel ripped the leather bound book from the poor soul’s chest like a wild beast lunging for its prey. Stunned, the agent stumbled back, before hurriedly regaining his composure once more.*

Madam Pouvell: *Long exasperated breath* Finally. I have it in my hands.

Pandora Agent: Is that so Madam?  Excuse me, if I may, what business, exactly, do you have with that, the company's most sacred of treasures?

*Her eyes begin to darken slightly, clutching the book tightly she gazed up at the agent*

Madam Pouvell: Pardon me, but I do believe that it is YOU who answers to Me. A lowly dog does not question when its master gives it an order. It simply obeys.

*Her eyes begin to blow an eerie crimson, and the air around the two grows cold, to the point where one could see there own breath.*

Madam Pouvell: Is that understood, Agent?

Pandora Agent: ...Crystal clear…my Lady. *Unreadable expression*

*With a turn of her heel, both she and her party disappeared into another part of the agency. The mere absence of the woman seemed to lighten the room slightly.*

Lorenzo:...Is that….usual for her? I’m aware that it’s been a long time since I have seen her and much has changed while I was in Phoenix...

Dae-Hyun: No. Not at all… Excuse me, guys, I’ll be back in a sec.

*Agent C quickly moved over to the other agent, on the surface merely looking to be about to have a friendly chat. However, both Esta and Lorenzo could see the odd look of intent as the man slung his arm over the other Agent’s shoulder. Even with inhuman senses, neither could hear what the two spoke about, so low were their whispers, but a flash of colour was caught briefly, only long enough for them to realise a pendrive had exchanged hands, but it was there and gone so fast that it, if anyone else had seen it, they might have just thought it a trick of light.

Lorenzo and Esta exchanged a glance, Lorenzo frowning in concern, Esta with a certain amount of suspicion. However, both were smart enough not to say a word until Dae-Hyun had jovially given his goodbyes and rejoined his companions once again.

Dae-Hyun: Sorry about that guys, I-

Esta: So, what was that about Lion?

*A passing agent carrying an ID card with a A insignia whispered as he strolled by slowing down as he walked pass.*

A Class Agent: Best not to press it kid. This is way above your paygrade.

Esta: *Annoyed look* TISK!

*With that, Esta dropped the issue…. for now. It was quite obvious that the setting wasn't right - the walls seemed to have ears. And anything hinting at suspicion could prove deadly, not only for her, but ALL those involved.*

Dae-Hyun: Essie, my love…

Esta: Don’t call me Essie and I'm not YOUR ‘love.’

Dae-Hyun: Fine, fine. But let’s not do this here. Let's go back for now.

Lorenzo: Ah, an idea. It has been quite the stressful day and I have to say that if we were to just go back to our rooms we would only worry ourselves further. Instead, why don’t we go to Black Betty? I do believe that it is my round this time.

Dae-Hyun: ...We’ll have to go at a later time, there's something that requires our immediate attention...

Lorenzo: *Offering a smile which Dae-Hyun would be able to read a little more deeply into* Of course. I wasn’t suggesting right at this very moment. We’re hardly in any state of dress for going out. Except for perhaps Miss Esta, but that is because she is a vision no matter what she wears.

Esta: *Faint blush, as she clings onto Lorenzo* Hmph! Your words are like honey, you know that?

Dae-Hyun: What, diabetically sweet?

Esta: *Psychotic glare* SHUT. UP. LION!

Dae-Hyun: What? I didn't say anything….
Lorenzo: I believe that is a cue to drop the spade, my friend. When one finds himself in a hole, it is always best to stop digging.

Dae-Hyun: …. *Mumble* I don’t wanna hear that from a girlfriend stealer like you! *Pout*

Esta: And in which universe did I become your girlfriend again, oh no sir, no sir, NO. SIR! I have better tastes than that.

Lorenzo: Hm….perhaps it wasn’t a spade you have there. Perhaps you need to stop using that construction digger instead.

Dae-Hyun: Fuck you man. Just fuck you!

Lorenzo: I don’t swing that way for you, either. Besides, I thought we had things to do before we could go to Black Betty’s?

Dae-Hyun: *Shivers* You know, I really hate you sometimes, you know that…?

*After a short time, the trio return the boy’s dorm room. Agent C’s was immersed in a phone call pertaining to the incident that had happened just moments prior. He was speaking in the language of the gods to some one on the other end. Lorenzo could pick up on a few words here and there, enough to make that out. But nothing more.

Finally, Dae-Hyun returned to the group with a USB and his laptop in hand*

Lorenzo: You managed to take care of things for now?

Dae-Hyun: Ummn…. Yes and no. I’ve just reported the situation to one of the Great goddess’ secretaries. He’s going to relay the information to her… but, for now, that all I know. I’m most likely going to be up all night decoding this thing. *gestures to the USB*

Lorenzo: I suppose considering we have gods poking their noses into things, they wouldn’t use a code a god of wisdom or intellect couldn’t decode in moments. I assume you can trust this guy and he’s not going to screw us in the ass for this, right?

Dae-Hyun: Oh I trust him wholeheartedly. He’s intelligent, resourceful and above all... Loyal to the agency. To Madame Povel herself. So yes, I trust that young man with my life. And to get a god or anyone else to decode this… well that would defeat the point of the ‘secret agent thing,’ we got going on between us. *Wink.*

Lorenzo: Fair enough. I might not like the gods, but you’re rarely wrong about who you can trust. Hopefully whatever is in that code it either decrypted quickly, or it doesn’t contain information of something that’ll be life threatening immediately. Will this be above my ‘paygrade’ to know as well, or will I also eventually hear the results?

Dae-Hyun: You’ll know when I know my friend. That all I can say for now.

Lorenzo: I trust you. For now then, I do believe we have somewhere else to go for now. If nothing else, it’s best to appear as if all is well, wouldn’t you say?
