I'll Close My Eyes So I Wont Hear You Cry Pt 4

[Disclaimer: The following chapter contains themes of a more Smexual, and violent nature. You have been warned!!!]

Rozyus: *Chuckle* Am I that predictable?

Inari: No, the opposite. How long do you think I’ve been watching you? I’ve watched long enough to know when something is wrong. I know when someone has messed with your mind, made you doubt yourself. But everything else…? Sometimes I….just don’t know. You’re a mystery. One moment you’re here, the next you’re in a place I just can’t follow. Even so, I want to try. As your husband, it’s my job to be by your side, to find you when you’re lost.

Rozyus: Even though you're more likely to leave me behind…? My feelings are still the same… My Lord, you are better suited for the one of your own.

*Inari sat up again, leaning over the boy, eyes flashing.*

Inari: Whose influenced your thoughts? Tell me.

Rozyus: It doesn't matter! You need that person as they need you. Who delivered the message matters not, the sentiment is still the same. It’s not like I don't know the stories.

*There it was, the kaleidoscope colored light, an empty room. Still, the boy’s perfume faintly lingered.*

Inari: Ok…. I know what I have to do now… My love, wait for me.

*Though he was still in the other plain for now, Inari made his way through the hall towards his chambers, a plan in mind of what to do next as his eyes settled on a particular potted plant sitting in the window where the sun might reach it. Gently, he stroked the petals, awakening an old friend. He couldn’t help but smile as the flower fairy stirred, it’s eyes landing on it’s master*

Inari: Its been a while, old friend.

Flower Fairy: *Smile*

Inari: Rozyus…can you sense him? I need you to find him. You can do that, can’t you?

Flower Fairy: *Nod*

Inari: Thank you.

*The fae closed its eyes, placing its hands on the ground. As Inari watched, faint lines pulsed thought the temple grounds, searching.*

Inari [Inner Thought]: *Nod* Good. If he’s somewhere in the corporeal plane then we’ll be able to find his presence...hopefully. If not, then I’m unsure what other options I have…

*Still, until the fair had finished it’s search, there was little Inari could do but wait. Getting irritable or impatient would do him no good. As such, slipping hands into his sleeves he leaned against the wall to wait.

Almost an hour passed before something happened. For a moment, the fairy’s expression changed from one of concentration, to confusion, before finally it’s head jerked up, finally finding the boy’s presence. Sensing movement, Inari looked up as the small creature fluttered toward a large mirror, chirping something that sounded like some kind of spell to the god’s ear. Quickly, Inari pulled from the wall to watch.

The mirror seemed to flicker, like water dropping into a smooth pond, rippling until a picture formed. There, in the glass, Inari could see Rozyus, along with another male who seemed to be preparing to leave the foreign looking garden that the two seemed to be located. Inari’s eyes flickered as he clicked his tongue.

Tired, the fairy bowed, its job completed as it excused itself to it’s potted plant to rest after expending so much energy. A little guilty for forcing it to do so, Inari watered the plant with the special waters of the cleansing pool as a reward. If nothing else, it would at least offer a pleasant respite to his old friend. Once he was sure the fairy was seen to, he turned his attention back to the mirror.

No longer was it just a mirror, but now a gateway. Face set, Inari reached out to its surface and stepped through.

The world, or perhaps pocket dimension, he had entered seemed to have been hastily constructed, likely by the boy himself. It was something Rozyus had done in the past when feeling trapped, hide away from the world for a while until he was prepared to face his troubles once again. Even so, it didn’t explain why the boy would let that dog in. He would rarely even let Inari in, even when Inari wasn’t the cause of any trouble. So what made that mutt so special?

Squashing those thoughts down with a shake of his head - not important right now - Iari pressed forwards. He could feel Rozyus’ presence now, just a little further ahead. There, laying against a tree, the boy slept. Young fae danced around him, playfully braiding his hair and adorning it with flowers and other accessories that might make it look pretty, though from where Inari wasn’t sure.

It was…nostalgic, seeing him like this. Though older, Rozyus still resembled an angel straight from a tapestry. Keeping his steps light so as not to awaken him, he approached*

Inari: Such a beauty to behold...My friends, would you allow me to rest beside the fair maiden? On my honour, I promise no harm shall befall her.
*For a moment, the flutter of fairies fitted around the pair, before disappearing behind the tree. Taking it as an affirmative, Inari gracefully sat beside his young love. With gentle fingers, he reached over, stroking the boy’s soft hair, curling it around his finger before kissing it softly, letting the silky strands fall once again. Unconsciously, the boy himself stirred a little, curling closer to his frame, warming him to the core*

Inari: *Scoff, wiry smile* My lady, I have to wonder when you will decide to stop worrying me so. Or when you will stand to fight for yourself and your desires instead of bending to the will of others. After all, the night where I almost deflowered this sacred rose...Heh...well, you made it quite clear just where your thoughts and desires truly lay.

*As if his words had somehow reached the boy’s dreams, Rozyus snuggled into the young god’s arms*

Rozyus: *Sleep talking* ‘Nari…I’m sorry… I love you… Don’t go… Zzzzz.

*Heart fluttering, yet somehow aching at the same time, Inari leaned his head against the boy*

Inari: *Scoff* Me? Leave you? Silly Rozyus, I’d never leave. Should this body fade, I’d stay by your side, always. I made you a promise when we were children, remember? Hm...well, I suppose I’d forgive you for forgetting - you were half asleep at the time. Though you have a horrible habit of forgetting many things. How cruel...those lips proclaim to love me. Those same lips throw me away...and promise yourself to another...

Rozyus: *Sleep talking* I’m sorry…

Inari: *Dark grin* Not enough this time, my lady. How much has that mutt had of you, I wonder? Tell me.

Rozyus: ...‘Nari…

Inari: *Sigh* What? What do you want, calling me so sweetly? Honestly.

*Almost reluctantly, a small smile graced his lips. It was hard to hold even a parody of anger with him like this. Leaning close, he kissed the boy softly. A moment later, the boy’s eyes fluttered open*

Rozyus: *Shock* ‘N-Nari! How did you- Mnnh!

*The god kissed the boy a little deeper. Though surprised Rozyus did nothing to push him off, allowing himself to be pressed back against the crook of the tree. With a snap of Inari’s fingers, the boy’s robes fell open, allowing the young god to kiss a trail down the boy’s frame while his fingers ghosted against his delicate skin as the boy arched to his touch*

Inari: *Between kisses* It wasn’t easy. Getting here. Finding you was. A greature chore.
*Rozyus whined, breath uneven as Inari began teasing at the skin, leaving obvious marks that Rozyus barely even noticed from the pleasure he left in their wake, compliant at Inari flipped him over and drew back the boy’s hair, nuzzling against the skin to find the sweet spot that left him shivering before biting down hard enough that he could taste copper. He knew he was tempting fate, but...the boy’s scent, even to his nose, not as sharp as Rozyus’, could smell it, like an intoxicating perfume that seemed to cloud his reason. He groaned, bucking his hips as he pulled the boy closer, feeling him press back, matching his rhythm enthusiastically against his manhood.

Encouraged by Rozyus’ reaction, the god’s hands began to wander, over his chest, down to his member, enclosing over the smooth skin making the boy let out a near primal whine as he seemed to fall apart at Inari’s touch.*

Venus [Telepathic Voice]:  You might as well take him if you’re going to do all that.

Inari [Telepathic Voice]: Out of my head. I know what I’m doing. Go away.

Venus [Telepathic Voice]: Humph! See if I help you then!

*Thankfully, the presence left. With no more distractions, he turned his attention to his lover once more. It had been hard enough to even offer Venus the slightest mental voice when Rozyus had been doing everything just right for him*

Inari: *Low Husky voice* But I must say, my dear, it was worth it, tasting you. Hearing your sweet sirens call, luring me in.

*That seemed to snap Rozyus out from whatever lustful nature that had been bubbling over, attempting to push the young god away.*

Rozyus: We can't do this anymore. I’m promise to-

*Though it was hard to pull back, he wasn’t taking him unwillingly. Instead, he carefully turned the boy back over and kissed him on the crook of his neck, before pulling back to look into his eyes, which reflected the longing that Inari knew they both shared. It would be easy, so easy to just fall back into the rhythm they had before, but he stopped, just before their lips were about to touch once again*

Inari: You were promised to me. Even now, you are still recognised as my wife and queen until that cur touches and tastes your skin. And well...as for that…

*The sound of a sword being drawn, slicing through air was broken by the sound of shattering metal. With a lazy confidence, Inari tilted his head to gaze at his heated rival, lowering the hand he had risen to allow the half of the blade still clasped in his fingers to drop to the ground with a dull clank. His opponent's hand, still holding half a shattered sword shook slightly, but the man shot the god a menacing gaze, the air thick with killing intent. However, Inari merely tilted his head, staring challengingly back, unfaltering*
Inari: As for that, I’ll kill him before he gets that chance. But it seems you know that, right, puppy dog?

Soldier: *Snarl* Bastard!

*Uncaring that his sword was snapped in half, the Soldier lunged forwards at Inari who quickly pushed Rozyus back before he could try to stop the attack and get in the crossfire, rolling to his feet, the Soldier quickly following. Broken blade or not it would still cause damage if stabbed into skin. Inari quickly shifted, dodging, moving out of the way until he saw and opening and darted in, grasping the other’s hand as he tried to bring the broken blade on his head. Snarling, the Soldier pressed, muscles straining as he tried to overpower the god bringing the blade closer and closer, hoping to angle it against Inari’s neck and slice the jugular.

He could hear it, Rozyus’ voice in the background begging them to stop, but Inari couldn’t unless he wanted the Wolf to kill him. Instead he twisted around, letting the soldier stumble forwards, the force pressing against him suddenly lost. With him off balance, Inari grabbed the outstretched arm and yanked it over his shoulder, sending the larger male crashing to the floor with a grunt, however he quickly rolled away as Inari’s heel struck where his head would have been, scrambling back to his feet. However, Inari, straight backed, not even panting, picked up the remainder of the blade that had fallen from loosened grip, throwing it into the ground between them, causing the panting Soldier to draw up short, if only to  avoid having the blade stab through his foot.*

Inari: Continue as you are, and all it with end with is one of us committing sin in a fit of rage.

Soldier: I don’t need your lectures, Bastard.

Inari: Somehow, I think you do. You are not ready for Morihinda, not as you are, and certainly not with your blade like that. If you must go through with such a farce, train. Train hard. And then I’ll agree to your challenge. But only then.

Soldier: *Grit Teeth* …..

*Turning away, the young male left the constructed world, cursing the young god all the while. Paying the Soldier no mind for now, Inari turned his attention back to the rather rattled Rozyus who slumped, pale faced, by the tree. Carefully, he made his way back to him, brushing hair from his face, concern in his eye*

Inari: Are you alr-

Rozyus: Are you a Fucking MORON!?!? The hell do you think you’re doing, challenging him to-!

Inari: I am doing what must be done. After all, though you promised yourself to me, you promised yourself to another. Morihinda is the only way it can be settled. If that is what it takes, I’m prepared. I am not blindly stumbling into this, Rozyus.

Rozyus: You’re an idiot…. You could lose everything… Your godhood… Your wealth...Your… life….I know you weren’t fighting with all you have - you were holding a lot back for his sake…. He’s a good guy and all. I don’t want either of you to get hurt. So please, call this off.

Inari: No, I won’t. I can’t. Because even if I did, what is there for me, what joy is there in divinity, or wealth, or a life, if you are not in it? So...I cannot call it off. All I ask is that you believe in either of us. And, when I win, return to my side. Do you understand, love?

Rozyus: *Knitted Brow* You’re crazy, you know that?

Inari: *Closed Eyes, Smirk* Then please, blame the person who made me this way.

I'll Close My Eyes So I Wont Hear You Cry Pt 3

Venus: Fuhuhuhuh!

Parame: What?

Venus: Do you not find it funny?

*A strange whirring sound pierced the air as a thread whipped violently through a woven tapestry, landing feather light in the goddesses’ hands.*

Venus: Ah, the ugly side of love

*The younger deity curled and twisted her hands vigorously, weaving the thread into a parody of a ‘cat's cradle’ as the elder coxed other strings from the ceiling, using them to weave along.

Parame: ...Who said love was  beautiful? Though I must say, now that things are moving again...

Both: *Dark Grin* This might become interesting.

Parame: My thoughts exactly.

Inari [Inner Thoughts]: *Silent seething* ...Was ‘us’ really that difficult that you would run to the arms of another at the slightest hint of adversity? Are your feelings that shallow?

*The young man stormed through the temple halls, heedless to the usual posse of divine folk who were quick to scatter from the enraged god’s path. Those foolish enough to even attempt to approach were quickly hushed and hustled away by their nervous peers*

Inari [Inner Thoughts]: Rozyus…my bride…what’s the real reason for you actions? What burden was so heavy that you needed to run? Is someone in our way, or-

*His thoughts cut off as the scent of flowers reached his nose. Pace picking up, he followed the lure of the scent down the corridor into another hallway, the scent growing stronger with every step. With every step, his pace picked up.

Near sprinting now, he chased after the scent. Soon, he could hear the sound of bear skin on marble floor. His eyes, glistening, latched on to the sight of a faint figure of what resembled a younger version of the boy. He barely reached him, before a bright light shone, nearly blinding him with it’s intensity.

When he could finally open his eyes, he could see a kaleidoscopic world. His hand was latched onto the arm of the boy, who seemed younger, near fae like in appearance, yet a solid form under his fingers. He’d finally caught him*

Inari: Rozyus!!! Why are you running away from me!?!

Rozyus: You shouldn’t be with me! I can’t stay with you. The longer we keep doing this the-

Inari: I. Don’t. Care! It doesn’t matter to me-!

Rozyus: Well it matters to me! It matters to them!!! Your kind...detests mine...I’m poison to you! And I...I can’t bear your children either….they would-

Inari: Be as cute as you? As Strong as I? Be loved by us both? Is that something you truly wish to give up on?! What about our dream?

Rozyus: ...It's a child's dream… ‘Nari…We need to wake up.

Inari: ...So, you mean to say you will no longer be my partner...

Rozyus: …

Inari...No. I won’t give up. Not on you. So...So don’t give up on me! Rozyus!

Rozyus: ...Goodbye… I won't see you again… I’m sorry.

Inari: Don't you love me?

Rozyus: S-stupid...I’ll always love you….but...we just can’t be.

*Heart aching, Inari reached over to touch the boy, only for him to pull away from his grip. Near trembling now, he shot forwards, slamming his hands either side of the boy’s cheeks, staring down at the boy before catching his chin in a vice grip. Rozyus seemed to freeze as he stared up at Inari’s uncharacteristically domineering gaze*

Rozyus: N-no…Don’t.

Inari: *Scoff* Don't what? Don't kiss you? Don’t hold you so close to me? I told you before that once you became mine...

*Inari drew the the boy close, slipping his knee though the boy legs. In turn, the boy, as if weak at the knee, gripped the younger god’s robe’s like a lifeline, trembling slightly, unable to tear his gaze away*

Inari: ...I will never let you go. You made a vow, my dear. I will not allow you to break it.

*Inari’s free hand moved through the boy’s clothing. Face burning, the boy jerked back, pushing at Inari’s chest*

Rozyus: N-no people will come!

*There were faint footsteps in the distance as if confirming his apparent concerns. Always so quick to fluster.

Inari grinned at the thought, even as he pulled his robe free. Looking for an opening, he turned the boy around, biting hard at the boy’s nape shocking a quick gasp, even as he ran his hand over the boy’s stomach.

Rozyus could feel Inari’s grin widening against tender skin before his tongue ran over the wounded area. Dazedly, He realised if the god had bitten just a little bit harder he really would be his. He tried to deny the touch, but every time he tried to deny his feelings, to pull away, the other pressed closer. He knew his words, on matter that they had been to protect the god, had hurt him to the core. His actions were close to a childish retort, not knowing where to cage his repressed rage*

Inari: Then do something about it. Take us back to our room. I’ll have you there*

*His husky voice shot a spark through the boy. Subconsciously he rolled his hips, pressing against the young god’s… only noticing his mistake when the god in question sucked in a breath, bucking his hip in return along with a smack to the rear, gripping the boy’s waist as if to stop himself from taking him right there*

Inari: L-little Vixen.

Rozyus: N-No, I.. it wasn't intentional.

Inari: *Commanding Tone* Bedroom. Now.

*The boy quickly did as commanded, transporting them to the bedroom. The moment the door was closed Inari summoned a familiar the guard the door, sweeping Rozyus into his arms and carried him to the bed. Next moment he was pressing him into the sheets, kiss rough, leaving the boy near desperate as he leaned over the tempting mess before him. The boy seemed like his body was craving to be touched, but Inari stayed still, eyes stirn as he gazed down at the boy.

Rozyus: Why did you-?

Inari: *Distantly* I’ll only touch my lover… Didn't you just throw me away?

Rozyus: *Wide eyed* ...W-What do you expect me to do? I can't give birth to a god, even if I’m partly one myself. That child would go thought the same thing I do. She’s better for you... you’re a better match-

*The god pinned down the boy again, eyes boring into the other’s soul.*

Inari: *Glare* Don't you ever -EVER - decide whom I’m suited for! I’ll chosen the partner! I’ve devoted myself you and only you! I’d rather throw away my godhood than be without you, IDIOT! Were you a man or woman, human, mystic divine or other, your heart belongs to me! And mine, yours! That's all that matters…

*The boy’s eyes widened, welling with tears. Biting his lip, his own eyes burning, he sat back, letting go of the boy, trying to prevent the tears from falling, even though his usual immaculate self control seemed just that bit beyond reach

The boy slowly reached up, hands shaking he cradled the older boy’s face, tears spilling down his own.*

Rozyus: I’m sorry, I’m sorry.

*Inari blinked the haziness away, to see the bawling mess quivering beneath him. Scoffing, even if it lacked any true haughtiness, he cupped the boy’s hand, kissing it*

*Inari blinked away the tears that moicened his eyes before looking at the balling mess that quivered under him. Scoffing again he cupped the boy hand before kissing it.*

Inari: *Weak Chuckle* You've been such a naughty princess.

*Inari looked through his lashes, sighed shakilly, before closing his eyes silently. The boy carefully sat up, running his fingers through the god’s dark hair, carefully removing the stick that kept it in place, allowing the midnight locks to spill over his shoulders. Silently, he kissed the older boy, their kisses slowly becoming more passionate as Rozyus straddled the god, removing the rest of his clothes while Inari reached up to explore the boy, only to be stopped, gently hands pushing his back down as he pressed the god back to the headboard.

With Inari’s attention on him, Rozyus began  moving his hips, gently kissing the god’s neck, working his way down. The good gasped, flinching as the boy looked up, still bobbing up and down. His whole body twitched, fingers tightening in cloth, and the boy licked his lips. Unable to help himself, Inari snatch the boy’s chin, eyes flicking*

Inari: *Knitted Brow* Tell me, where did you learn that? It was not of my teachings.

Rozyus: She is my older sister, you know - Venus. You hang around matchmaking goddesses and fertility gods and you tend to pick up a few things… Jealous?

Inari: *Look to the side* Humph...

Rozyus: *Small Smile*...Cute...

*The boy shuffled up, laying himself by the young god, back facing to him.*

Inari: You’re cuter...

Rozyus & Inari: You need to get your eyes tested.

I'll Close My Eyes So I Wont Hear You Cry Pt 2

*It was achingly hard to allow consciousness to pull him from quiet and comforting oblivion. A soft light shimmered beyond heavy eyelids like a soothing caress he could not ignore, lids feeling like lead as he pryed them open. Everything was blurred, even as he forced lids to blink, a kaleidoscope of colour twisting before him. Sensations now - he was floating, his limbs feeling heavy, the trill of cold against damp skin as the water surface broke. The first gasp of air, the sudden shiver as finally, finally, his body awoke to life.

He huddled in on himself a moment, clutching his masculine frame, trying to calm the shivers, even as he tried to figure out what on earth was going on. Everything seemed strange, yet achingly familiar.

It was hard to command muscles that seemed to have never been used, but he forced himself to ignore the call of the warm and gentle slumber, instead to slowly ease himself unsteadily from the pool, trembling from cold and weakness as he tried to get his bearings, as the soft tapping of footsteps resonated through the halls*

Parame: Ah, my sweet boy. You're finally awake?

Inari: Mother…? Its cold...

Parame: Understandable. ‘Twas not long ago that you were wrapped tightly in my embrace.

*She gestured towards the draining waters. It seemed strangely dulled now, no longer bathed in the comforting luminescence. As he turned to look at her again, she gestured for him to approach, a fluffy towel awaiting him*

Parame: Although it was adorable to hold my sweet boy once again, I unfortunately lack the luxury to fawn over you for another week.

Inari: A...A week? Wait! Where-!

Parame: *Flippant* The boy is fine. Your concern should lie in yourself. While black hair is nice,’You kinda look like a villain’, don’t you agree?

Inari: *Knitted brow* What are you…?

*His voice trailed off as he caught sight of his reflection. An odd feeling churning in his gut, he looked back to the goddess, eye twitching.*

Inari: ...Who...?

Parame: You tell me? Now, come, let me dry you off. Ah, from now on, I suggest you wear the cloth that only I provide. It will lower your presence and stabilize you somewhat.

Inai: Stabilize?

*He walked over the the goddess, who began meticulously grooming the young god to perfection, drying, oiled and clothed his form*

Parame: You are as a newborn. For some reason, your powers destabilised. I have a theory - stress. The trauma of your situation, your mate releasing you...I can imagine the strain. I’m no certain how the other news will-

Inari: *Snarl* What other news?!

Parame: *Glare*....

Inari: *Flinches* …I’m Sorry. I….

Parame: Better.

*She didn’t elaborate as she focused her attention to his hair, gracefully gathering it, pining it in place with ornate ornaments. Finally, she continued*

Parame: It would be wise to learn when one must be patient and when one must act. When one must pursue my stupid son, and when to hold back. Your issue is...you hold back when you should press forward. How can I act when you continue to hesitate? Hm~?

Inari: *Downcast eyes* What am I to do?

Parame: That, my dear, is up to you. Be it to push him down and hold on tight, or shake him to the core - whatever the decision, it must be swift, before that boy marries another.

Inari: *Grit teeth* He cannot. He is my bride

Venus: Not for much longer. I’m afraid there is only three weeks until his wedding

Inari: WHAT! How!!! Why would he-?

*The younger goddess gathered together makeup and body paint, carefully brushing it over the god’s face and lips*

Venus: There is something new twisting the order of things. However, my question for you is do you have the strength to resolve it?

*Nails digging into palms, Inari rose to his feet, summoning his familiars, one of which bowed, presenting him with his sacred weapon. Sliding it into place at his hip, the god turned on his heel and strode towards the doors, not turning back*

Inari: *Fangs bared* I clearly recall telling you ‘I have no intention of letting him go... I won’t give up. Not now. Not when we’re so close to the finish line.’ because ‘I’m well aware how to deal with their tribe….’  And ‘As for this rival...*Tone Darkening* I will do whatever needs to be done.’

*As the two goddesses watched, the doors slammed shut behind him, echoing through the chamber as the last hint of his presence faded into obscurity. A new sound light the room as the younger goddess chuckled*
