TANRA Lore: Part Two!

 

‘Time is an illusion that is what I believe, we have so much yet it too easily slips away like sand in an hour glass.’

 

Tara & Nadia: If you haven’t guessed from that quote, we're going to be talking about time - more specifically about time in the Tanra 'verse.

Nadia: Oh! If you wondering why today's post looks like a script, well...its coz we feel like it… don’t ask we make Da Rules here!!!

Tara: If you guys have looked at our main comic, "Pandora", you'll notice that most, if not all the characters, are in period dress. Or if they're not, it's still heavily influenced. So, if you see someone in....say, Victorian-styled dress wandering around in a modern day New York in the story, then its totally normal!

Nadia: That’s because, to put it simply, in the Tanra 'verse history and present day have collided. Thought the Tanra 'verse runs parallel with our own it has a few major differences.

Tara: Those are explained in the codes and in the various titles we have.

Nadia: speaking of codes *cough cough* on Tuesday we're having our first lot of codes and going in depth about the cyphers.

Nadia & Tara: we have a message from our dear friend on Olympus and they will be explaining thing further to help you agents crack the codes.

Every time there’s a new cypher or way to crack the code ‘they’ will explain things to you guys.

TANRA Lore: Part One

Hi everyone! It's Nadia and Tara here! Today, we're going to be giving you a bit of insight into the Law of the Tanra Universe.

First of all - Spoilers #No Spoilers - Every mythos that we use exists - from Egyptian to aztec and more. Some of the gods have different names, but may refer to the same god, depending on region to region. For example - Helios and Ra are the same person. The gods themselves have no set form - the only difference is how the humans perceive them.

Because of this, we'll be looking at different religions.

Just a disclaimer - some chapters can be skippable for those who might be easily offended - we'll put a warning when those chapters turn up. Oh, and the views of the characters don't reflect our views. Its just how the characters might see things - for example, there is an atheist in the group.

Speaking of gods, more on that later! *Cough-Cyphers-Cough*

Sorry it's a Long One!

 

Hi guys, Nadia here! I’m going to be taking over today's post.

 

I wanted to talk about the TanraStudios website we're creating. (www.pandoraagent.com)

For those of you who don’t know or haven’t read far back in this blog its where we're posting the manga we create. We’ll have codes competition ect.

 

I’m going to be naughty and give you guys a sneak peek at the home page.

 

Though it says on the bottom of this page, I’m going to say it here again, Everything on the home site is interactive. From the banners advertising the manga, to the characters on the left. If you hover your mouse over each character, they will tell you what page of the site they will take you to.  Click on them and they will take you there.

 

 

 

For the rest of the site, you guys are going to have to wait a little.  Due to my laptop braking down I couldn’t finish the home page. If you’ve been watching us on Deviant Art, you can see that for the site both Tara and I collaborated on the the sprites, (http://tanrastudios.deviantart.com/art/Finished-Sprites-582057506) as I don’t have my laptop I cant do them yet but if all goes well I should be able to finish them by next week or the week after.

 

Cracking the Dynuno Koubu (Language of the Gods) was really hard to do - it took twice as long as I kept being kicked out of our university work room.

 

But enough of me moaning, I hope you guys enjoy the site; I’ve moved the release date from the 30^th of February to the 30^th March. Also be for I forget. 10 pages from both Pandora and Dream Walkers are going on there for the release date. And we’ll be updating either weekly or biweekly depending on our work load, but we’ll keep you posted on what happens.

Communication Central

Hello World! Tara and Nadia here. We're going to be keeping this one short, people. Today, we'll be talking about the communicators - standard equipment for our Pandora field agents! The latest model is the DoraBox CX5. It comes with a wireless communicator and smart phone. Apparently, our science department is working out the kinks - we should have examples by next week!

Dr Phylloneus Remington, who headed the project, has this to say:

"We're quite proud of the new models - last time we had a few....uh...issues. They were a little....explosion inducing. HOWEVER! We have worked out those kinks! With a few additional adjustments they'll be good to go!

"Oh! And For those who like accessories, we've also included some of those, like interchangeable covers in a variety of colours and patterns, access to apps, both the public kind and the pandora only types, special ID 'cards' that can be used to bypass even levels of secret security for those hard to find supernatural beasties that like to hang out in top secret locations, a mirror so the agents can stay stylish at all times! Access to our department's store for upgrades, Internet browsing and much more! Oh, and a cute little phone charm for every agent! N'awww...! :)"

Tara: Uh....Yeah, he's a little....enthusiastic.

Nadia: Yeeeeeeah....enthusiastic....(more like batsh*t crazy....)

Cracked the Cipher!!!!!

Hello agents! Nadia here! It took me longer than expected, but I finally did it! I've deciphered the Dynuno Koubu (Language of the Gods). From what I gathered it should work the same way as the English language, with the exceptions of phonetic sounds.

Right now I'm bit too busy to decipher the sounds. I'll keep you posted.

I used what I had around, sorry, so its on old paper. Sorry about that.

True Believers! First Con!

Hello, Hello, Hello!!! It's Nadia and Tara from TanraStudios here! Just giving you guys an update!

Tara: On Saturday, we were at True Believers Comic Convention (as we mentioned last time) - great news! We sold all our comics! We managed to raise £93.40, mainly from commissions and comic books, with additional things like prints and the Raffle. Unfortunately, no one won the gold prise for the raffle, though there were plenty of winners for the other prises - we are strong believers of winners every time!

Nadia: Here's a quick photo of our table!

Nadia: On another note, sorry I haven't managed to decipher the codes just yet - my laptop is playing up and we've been busy preparing for the con. But I'll get back on that as soon as possible - we'll keep you posted!

Dreamwalkers Interview

Hello World! Welcome back to TanraStudios! Tara here! Today, since last time we started to talk about our other TanraStudios project, Dreamwalkers, created by yours truly, we decided to talk about it a little more today, by interviewing one of the characters from the series - James Remington.

James is the main character of Dreamwalkers, so I thought that five quick questions about him and the story would be fun. I even provided a quick sketch, too!


So, let's get started! Hi James!

James: Heya.

Me: Glad you could join us. So, lets get to it. Why don't you introduce yourself?

James: You mean other than the intro you already gave? Sure. I'm James Remington, I'm 22 and a freelance author. Lived on my own since I was about 18...Nothing much really to say.

Me: OK, so next question - you say your an author, so, what kinds of things do you write about?

James: Depends on my mood. I always had a pretty big imagination as a kid, so I used to just write down things that inspire me. Admittedly, had some writer's block lately, but that's probably because of the weird stuff that's been going on.

Me: Weird stuff?

James: Well, some of it might be lack of sleep talking - reoccurring nightmares don't really help much. Then there's the weird people...

Me: Ah, that would be Somnus, I assume. Can you tell us more about him?

James: Well, you can't get much weirder than him. He's got his own sense of style - like....almost Victorian era stuff. But he always seems.....I don't know....like there's more to him, or he knows too much. I mean, I never met him before and he just....knew things? Its kind of difficult to know what he's really up to, you know? But even then, I can't say much about him, at least not yet. I still have a lot to learn about that guy.

Me: Anything else you want to add before we close up this?

James: Well, not much yet, though I have a bad feeling that I'm going to end up really mixed up in all of this stuff. Though you'll probably get to see what I mean if you guys out there read Dreamwalkers, huh?

Me: Thanks James! Sorry we couldn't really say more about it today, but I do hope that you guys might look into Dreamwalkers once it's finished. Though we'll be keeping you posted.

Jut a little warning that this Saturday's post might be pushed back to Sunday this week, since we'll be over at True Believers for the day. But we'll be bringing you guys more info and news from TanraStudios then!
