Guy With A Peach Wood Sword Pt 4

Little Girl:*Flat look* So…. Gege…. Why you are a cutie fluff fluff fox now?

*Licking his lips to gather the last few grains of rice from his muzzle, Huxian turned to look at the girl, allowing a fanged smile to cross his face*

Huxian: Ah, should have known that you wouldn’t be fooled. Shame, I wanted to see your expression in finding out. Oh well...there are still those other girls, I suppose.

*Shrugging, he elegantly jumps back onto the bed, cleaning one of his paws a moment before turning to look at the girl once more.*

Huxian: I’m saving energy. The Peach Sword helped me to create a barrier to bide time until we can pull off our offense. This form uses the least amount of energy for me.

Little girl: *Cocking Head* ??? So fluffy! So cute Gege you rest Yi will look after you till your better. Ok

*She fluffed the fox kissing the top of his head before giving him a brief hug*

Huxian [Inner Thoughts]: Smart for a little kid, but I suppose it would be a bit odd for her to fully grasp the intricacies. But hey, at least she knows enough to get the jist of it.

*Allowing the petting, Huxian settled into her lap, tail flicking contently. Having his energy constantly drawn from him did leave him feeling aching somewhat inside, so he was happy enough to lounge in a warm hold*

Huxian [Inner Thoughts]: It’s pretty nostalgic anyway…

Huxian: Thanks...Yi, was it?

Yi: Yup! Yi is grampa XXXX’s ‘grand baby’, so she’s rely-able.

Huxian [Inner Thoughts]: ‘Rely-able’? Did she mean...reliable?

Huxian: Well, you do seem pretty capable. Since you’re so reliable, I have a favour to ask you. Can you, perhaps, not mention my true nature to those girls you protected? I’m afraid they’re still very skittish about the idea of the mystic. They might not take it well to find out that I’m not human, but a Huli Jing.

Yi: ?? Uie jim??? Oh Foxie!!! Oh ok Yi will keep secrets!! *pumped fists and determined eyes*

Huxian [Inner Thoughts]: Ah, child pronunciations...this really does bring back memories. Ah….I think she would have got along with her….its a shame that….

*quickly, he shook off the melancholy that had settled upon him, instead, he turned his attention to the hall, ears flicking forwards to pick up sounds of quiet murmurs and carpet muted footsteps. As the muffled voices came closer, lazaly, Huxian summoned a bowl of the sacred beverage, still in the loathed doggy bowl, lapping at it while the little one stroked his fur,

The door edged open and one of the girls poked her head inside.*

Girl 2: Oh! You’re up now! How you feeling, Yi?

Yi: I’m fine. Gege got rid of the monsters, so we’re ok for now.

Girl 1: By the way, Yi, do you know a way to contact your parents?

Yi: Dont got any…. I have Gampa’s sword that Gege has now. So I know he’ll be back soon. He can take on lots and lots of monster in one hit! he’s SO COOL! When Yi grows up she-she will be like that too. All Yi has to do is protect the city till he comes back.

Girl 3: *Chuckle* Ok, that fi- Oh! Where did that fox come from?

Yi: Oh, he’s Gege’s Big Boss’s pet! He’s so cute and fluffy! He’s a good boy, right?

Huxian: Yip!

Yi: See!

Girls: SO CUTE!!!!!! Aww, adorable! I want one, too! Oh, so what’s his name?

Yi: Don’t know?

Girl 1: Look on his collar?

Yi: Ummmm…*Trying to read the dog tag* Mr...fluffie...ton?

Girl 3: *Checking the dog tag too* ‘Mr Fluffington. Pet of Rodessa Hunter’

Girl 2: Wait...that flirt has a girl after all…?
*Trying to keep the act of being a normal fox, Huxian suppressed the urge to put his ears back in irritation. Why oh why were these girls determined to think so ill of him. And Rodessa wasn’t ‘his girl’, dammit. Not only was it….just not….possible - he ignored the feeling of his heart being squeezed in his chest at the thought - but Rodessa would probably kick the ass of whoever thought of her as some kind of property to the moon and back*

Girl 1: I hope she puts a leash on it.

Girls: *Laughing*

Girl 4: What, the fox or the hartbreaker?

Girl 3: Both. Oh and wait, I was told that they’re still rounding people up, so it might take a few days for us to get in contact with our families.

Girls: *Sigh*
